The Best Eye Cream or Is This A Misnomer
The best eye cream can be really difficult to find if you don’t know what you are looking for
For many years I considered myself too young to need an anti aging cream. And somehow I associated the best eye cream with the best anti wrinkle cream. So if I didn’t need anti aging skin care I would assume I didn’t need eye cream either.
I decided that things had to change only when I noticed that the skin around my eyes looked differently. If I was tired, you could tell immediately. If I forgot my make up on the previous evening, the skin around my eyes would be irritated and red. And fine lines started to form at the corner of my eyes. Not mentioning the fact that it looked so incredibly thin as if it was about to break!
First of all you need to understand that the skin around the eyes, also called the periocular area, has three significant roles and not one: cosmetic, functional, and psychological. It can make you look nice or look really ugly. It protects the eye from damage. It helps you express your emotions. All of these aspects stress the periocular skin so much that it becomes a priority to find all about the best eye cream.
But what should you look for in the best eye cream? What are the aspects that can influence the direct results? It is my belief that if you pay attention to these “details” you will manage to get your hands on the best eye cream in no time at all: your age, the aspect of the periocular area, the composition of the eye cream, and your habits.
The problems that may occur around the eyes include wrinkles, bags, and irritations. But what are the causes of these particular problems and how could an eye cream help? If you know the cause of your problem then you know how to treat the problem. It is true in most cases and it is true now.
So let’s start with wrinkles. Wrinkles are caused by the fact that we lose elasticity in our skin as we grow older. The fact that the skin around the eyes is 10 times thinner than the rest of our skin makes it lose elasticity faster and consequently wrinkle faster. That is why it is important that we start carrying for the skin around our eyes early in our lives. Generally eye creams are part of the best anti aging products. That means that they target mainly the wrinkles around your eyes caused by ageing.
But wrinkles in the periocular area are not necessarily caused by age but they are caused by simple natural actions such as blinking or by our habits in general. Did you ever wonder how many times we blink every day? Well, surprisingly, more than 10,000 times! And it is not only blinking, it is also twitching, and smiling, and frowning, and crying, and many more.
Apart from these actions that can hardly be controlled we also have certain habits that can damage our skin and make it even thinner than it is and wrinkle it before its time. Such habits imply smoking, inserting and removal of eye lids, unprotected sun exposure, and improper makeup removal. All of these things must be considered when you wish to get the best wrinkle cream for your eyes. Improving certain aspects of your life style can help you see results faster. Not even the best eye cream could help you if you continue to stick to your bad habits.
Puffiness is another problem that occurs very often. They are water bags that form under the skin. But why do they form? You will help the action of the best eye cream should you be careful about the allergen factors that affect you, the quantity of liquids that you drink every day, as well as the salt that you feed your body. But bags can also be caused by alcohol abuse and by crying. Remember girls! Crying and long parties are not good for our eyes!
The composition of the best anti aging cream for the eyes should include: exfoliation substances (any anti-wrinkle cream is based on that), anti-oxidants, moisturizers, and soothing substances. The exfoliating components such as alfa hidroxy acids or AHAs remove dead cells and also allow the penetration of other beneficial substances into the skin. The most efficient antioxidants are vitamins such as A, B-complex, C, D and beta-Carotene. The best eye cream should include at least one of these elements.
Moisturizers are also very important as the periocular skin contains very few oil glands. Anti aging skin care implies the use of sodium hyaluronate which is the best element to fight fine lines caused by dehydration. Soothing substances are a must as well in the composition of the best eye cream. Calming substances are indicated for any sensitive skin and the periocular skin is the most sensitive skin. Herbal extracts and liposomes are among the most effective soothing substances. A good eye cream would incorporate either one of these substances: chamomile, cornflower, lecithin, and many more.
I am hoping that my experience is of help to you and the approach I took would work for you as well. The key is experiment or try before you jump and say hurry ‘ I found the best eye cream’.
